Beauty Tip- Tired, Baggy Eyes

Beauty Tip
If like me you struggle with baggy and puffy eyes due to a lack of sleep or struggle to get up in the cold winter mornings (who doesn't?) then i'm sure you've been looking out for and buying products to help.
Well all you need is 2 damp tea bags that have been placed in the fridge for a few minutes. Then lie down on your back and tilt your head up. After that place the tea bags over your eyes. Balance the tea bags on your eyes for at least 10 minutes and then take them off. *This works because teabags contain an ingredient called tannin which will help relieve tired and puffy eyes.*

Beauty Tip- Old Mascaras

Beauty Tip
Don't you hate it when you open your favourite old mascara to find it has gone all dry. You then go and throw it away when there is atleast half a bottle of mascara left. Well now you don't  Close the mascara tightly and put it into a ccup of hot water for 30 seconds. The heat will melt the remaining mascara and you can carry on using it. I am always doing this as before I would always have to go out and buy new mascaras when I had plently of half full mascaras (what a waste). This is a good quick tip that is good for if your fed up or don't have the money to keep replacing your old mascaras.

D.I.Y. hair masks

During this cold winter my hair has been getting dry and not even conditioner is helping it so I decided to invest in a hair mask. Looking in the shops I noticed that many of them were more expensive than I was willing to pay, although I did find a good one in the Boots own Brand. It's called Boots ingredients Coconut and Almond Intensive hair mask and is £2.03 for 350ml.
If you don't want to spend the money or don't have the time to go out and buy a hair mask then how does it sound if I say that you probably have a hair mask in your kitchen at the moment? All you need is an egg, a banana, one teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of milk, and five teaspoons of olive oil to make a D.I.Y homemade hair mask. This hair mask is simple to make and you only need to leave it in your hair for 25 minutes which leaves you with glossy, conditioned hair that will fight through winter and will help it to grow longer. Below are 3 different homemade hair masks (just in case you don't have the ingredients for one of them!)

3 Recipes for homemade hair masks:

-Gather an egg, banana, one teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of milk, and five teaspoons of olive oil. If you have no olive oil, you can replace it with any other oil you have. Mix the ingredients up together, and then massage the mask into your scalp and hair. Leave the mask on your hair for 25 minutes before you shampoo and condition.

-For a conditioning mask that helps restore your hairs natural oil, combine equal parts honey to olive oil, and then massage into the hair and scalp. You will need to leave the mask on for about 25 minutes before shampooing and conditioning as usual.

- Blend an egg yolk, two tablespoons of olive oil, and 8 medium sized strawberries together.  Then apply it to your entire head of hair, and let it soak in for 15 minutes before continuing your normal shampoo and conditioning routine.
